by stuckinarut2 inno doubt we have all heard that well used "illustration" in public talks etc over the years:.
"if you were handed a glass of water that looked pure, but were told it has just a tiny drop of poison in it, would you drink it?".
the society has used that illustration at length to say we should avoid all influences of every part of the world.. but, as we know, the society has had a track record of errors, false ideas and doctrines.

Genesis Lifetimes and Numerology
by schnell inout of morbid curiosity, i would like to here reduce the digits of the lifetimes stated in genesis chapter 5. it is clear that no human being has ever lived that long, and perhaps there is some numerological meaning to these numbers rather than literal history.
7 after he became the father of enosh, seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters.
10 after he became the father of kenan, enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters.

We deserve to die
by elfgoblin inat the meeting today, we were reading the watchtower and this elder apologetically said to such a degree in regards to romans 5:12 that "we humans are not worthy of any mercy from jehovah.
we shouldn't even have free will because we can't possibly do anything good enough to please jehovah.
we don't even deserve life because of sin.

1914 to be abandoned around 2016
by Alfred inthe other day i was doing some research about "1914" for a friend on my wt cd library (spanish) and i found it quite interesting that the number of times "1914" is mentioned in the watchtower magazine during the previous 3 decades has been dropping exponentially as follows.... 1980-1989: mentioned 854 times.
1990-1999: mentioned 492 times.
2000-2009: mentioned 222 times.

They have seriously cut back on 1914. It is not relevant since the "generation" all died. Now it is just a bull crap date like Seventh day advenists still tolorate 1844 even though they know it is an embarssing mistake. So sad.....NO IT'S STILL GOOD WAIT....😣

Fade Advice Please
by Zeds Dead ini got reinstated in the last month and had my record cards sent to a new congregation.
i went to a few meetings until i heard the cards had been sent and now i am looking to do a complete fade, no longer go at all.
the new congregation does not know me well and further away from where i live so i am hoping they will give up trying to make contact quickly.. any advice on do's and dont's and what to expect?.

Happy 2017!!! Samuel Herd born in 1935 is now 82 with diabetes. He no doubt naps during important governing body meetings. May not see this year out.

Very easy. Do what I did. Get chronic fatigue syndrome. A tired depressed condition which cannot be medically proven. Many pioneers really get this. Because of your "fatigue" and feeling mentally low, you will need to spend many Sundays in bed watching football...with a secret icebox full of beers! Problem solved.

an elder who cuts hair was scared when i asked for a bald buzz cut since my hair was receding and grey.
he actually rang a bethel elder to see if this was okay watchtower wise!

An Elder who cuts hair was scared when I asked for a bald buzz cut since my hair was receding and grey. He actually rang a bethel Elder to see if this was okay Watchtower wise! Thats when I realized we really dont have ANY conscience. We have to check in with whatever we are doing. Mindless robots. Most Witnesses sign the no blood card but have no clue about fractions and medical treatments. What a sad bunch!
